About the Event

BG Phariss, born in Oklahoma and raised in West Columbia, Texas, graduated from West Point in 1994 and was commissioned in the Signal Corps. He assumed command of the 311th Signal Command (Theater) at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, on July 19, 2024. His previous assignments include roles with the 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Transportation Command, HQDA G6, Army Human Resources Command, and various command positions including the 98th Expeditionary Signal Battalion and U.S. Army Europe and Africa. He has deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Afghanistan. BG Phariss holds a BS in Computer Science, an MS in Management Information Systems, and an MS in Strategic Studies. His awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and several others. He is Airborne and Ranger qualified. BG Phariss is married to Yvonne, and they have four children.
